Detroit Red Wings traded Dmitry Kulikov, DET's round 1 pick in 2021 and DET's round 1 pick in 2022 to Toronto Maple Leafs for Erik Karlsson

A native of Sweden, Erik Karlsson was originally drafted to the NHL by the Ottawa Senators in the 1st round of the 2008 entry draft. He has appeared in 850 NHL games during his career, notching 125 goals and adding 340 assists along with 253 penalty minutes. The 30 year old defenseman is waiting for a good start this season.

A native of Russia, Dmitry Kulikov was originally drafted to the NHL by the Florida Panthers in the 1st round of the 2009 entry draft. He has appeared in 798 NHL games during his career, notching 58 goals and adding 258 assists along with 368 penalty minutes. The 29 year old defenseman is looking forward for the start of the season.
